New York, jewelry, elegance and lots of lace!

Bonjour!

There is so much going at de ma fille that I want to express it all! But where should I start?

I absolutely adore jewelry and I love giving jewelry as gifts! De ma fille just received our newest collection of Kendra Scott jewelry; PERFECT for the brides and for all the mademoiselles...

This was just a sneak peek, to see the rest come into de ma fille and let these treasures dazzle you even more! Speaking of jewelry, lately I have been thinking of the woman who you instantly think of when you see long pearls and elegance... Miss Coco Chanel, so to give you a fun quote about jewelry...

“Jewelry should be viewed with innocence, with artlessness,
just as we enjoy the sight of an apple tree in blossom
at the side of the road as we speed past in a motor-car.”
~ Coco Chanel

I also have been counting down the days for my glorious trip to New York for bridal market! I am leaving this Friday and beyond excited! I simply can not contain my joy to go and view all of the luxurious gowns that will be coming out in 2012, and to place order to have them in my store! Besides shopping for gowns, I can not wait for my side shopping up in the big apple either! Since I will be gone for market, de ma fille will be closing at noon on Friday October 14th and be closed Saturday October 15th.

This month I will be doing a Bridal Sale! On October 21-22, if any bride finds their dream gown in de ma fille and purchases then they can receive a free veil! Hurry and make your appointment before we get all booked up!

De ma fille is doing a Bridal Fashion Show this month on October 23rd, in Sundance Square at the Red Oak Ballroom! Come into the store to receive a coupon for the show and to have a sneak peek of what will be there. There will be many local and fantastic bridal vendors as well. So if you are still needing a photographer or florist then come and check it out and bring your friends!

"Lace - the invention of a goddess and the occupation of a queen" Vinciolo
Lace has been such a beautiful fashion lately; especially for those brides who love the vintage style! Personally, I fall into this category. I love lace, but with crystals as well! I have been having two lace dresses in the store that have been getting great reviews!

This Jim Hjelm dress is even more stunning in person with its lace and organza strips with hidden crystals underneath.

Fairy by Enzoani has been such a unique choice what with the seperate petal skirt overlay to complete this whimsical look!

Now speaking of lace, I also have a new custom dress in the store that is a size 0, price marked down and ready to be claimed by a blushing bride! It has never been worn since it is not my sample; it is just a smaller gown that arrived. It is Dakota by Enzoani and its very sophisticated!

One last quote of the day,
"I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy of nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin."
`Coco Chanel, April 29, 1939

Finally, I want to share with you all a new obsession of mine along with I'm sure many others. PINTEREST! It is so amazing! Brides this is perfect for you to get ideas for your wedding. When you find something you like online all you do is go to your favorites bar and pin it to your pinterest board; and you will not lose the site you found it at! I have personally used it for finding recipes on French desserts I would love to make as well as ideas for my future wedding!

This is all I will share for today! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week and weekend!

à bientôt
